Paul Dorrell, author, art dealer, and gallery owner of Leopold Gallery in Kansas City, MO, has written a book titled Living the Artist's Life: A Guide to Growing, Persevering, and Succeeding in the Art World. Drawing on his own experiences, Mr. Dorrell covers many aspects of the art business from how to photograph artwork, price it, and get it into a gallery to examining an artist's inspirations and insecurities in their artwork.
Published by Hillstead Publishing, the book is available as a hardcover for $23.95 and as a softcover for $16.95 at national retail outlets, as well as at select art supply stores.
